The event was designed to explore the pressing issue of climate change, addressing a spectrum of related topics from historical case studies to effective crisis communication strategies. The relevance of these discussions was underscored by the increasing frequency of extreme natural events in Italy, a concern that resonated deeply with our participants.

The aim was to equip attendees with practical insights on managing such events, testing business continuity solutions to identify and rectify potential gaps, understanding the likely future impacts of climate change, and setting up robust crisis communication plans.

We enriched our discussions with real data, case studies, and firsthand accounts on handling these escalating emergencies. Our goal was to empower our attendees with knowledge and strategies to effectively respond to the growing challenges posed by climate change.

The event was structured into three distinct segments:

  1. We initiated the discussion with a case study of the 2022 flood event in the Marche region. We detailed the company’s response, including the analysis of the situation, the selection of appropriate solutions, the protection measures for employees residing in the affected area, and the activation of business continuity solutions to resume critical processes.
  2. We then transitioned to a broader discussion on our environmental context and the anticipated impacts of climate change. This included an analysis of the business continuity report and data from various research studies.
  3. We concluded the event with a focus on crisis management. Our expert guest emphasized the importance of effective crisis communication during an event and provided guidance on developing a comprehensive plan to ensure preparedness.
