There are many ways you can contribute; you can act as an ambassador for the BCI, promoting the benefits of membership and encouraging others to get involved. You can also get involved in organizing events, such as networking opportunities, which provide valuable learning and networking opportunities for members. Additionally, you can contribute to our publications, such as articles, by writing pieces or providing expert insights. You can also participate in research studies, which provide valuable insights into the industry and help shape the direction of the BCI.

These contributions can take various forms:
- Articles/News – contribute to the BCI content, and share your insights with a global audience. For our hints and tips, click here.
- Webinars – interested in hosting a webinar for the BCI? We’re open to contributions. Webinars normally last around an hour with a 40-minute presentation and 20-minute Q&A.
- Research papers – we publish industry-leading research for business continuity and resilience professionals. If you have a research or analysis piece you want to write, let us know.

Chapter Community Groups
Join our dynamic chapter community groups and networks of like–minded professionals. These groups, organized and run by members in local areas, provide a unique opportunity to connect with fellow BCI Members in your region and stay informed on the latest developments in business continuity and resilience. By participating in these regular community meetings, you will have the opportunity to share ideas, discuss challenges, and gain valuable insights from your peers. Not only will you expand your professional network, but you will also have the chance to stay current on industry trends and best practices.

BCI Special Interest Groups (SIGs)

These groups provide a forum for members to share their expertise and experiences, discuss challenges, and gain insights into best practices. BCI Member Participation Groups (MPGs)
BCI Member Participation Groups (MPGs) are vital in identifying, refining, and enhancing the benefits offered to members and the wider community. Comprising of dedicated volunteer members, these groups provide valuable expertise in shaping and testing membership products and services. BCI Next Practice Groups
The BCI Next Practice Groups provide members with the opportunity to stay current on the latest trends and best practices in the field of business continuity and resilience. These groups offer a platform for members to share their expertise, discuss challenges, and gain insights into the future of business continuity management. By joining a Next Practice Group, members can participate in research, expand their knowledge, and professional network and contribute to the development of BCI Thought Leadership.
BCI Mentoring
Join the new BCI Mentoring and elevate your professional growth while contributing to the industry. As a BCI Mentor, you'll guide the next generation of business continuity professionals, and our mentors often report it to be one of the most rewarding experiences. Eligible MBCI or FBCI members can sign up now to become a mentor. As a BCI Mentee, you'll receive guidance and support from experienced industry professionals. BCI Awards Judges
BCI awards judges are responsible for upholding the highest standards and integrity of the BCI Awards, and ensuring that the selection process is fair and unbiased. The role of the judges is crucial to the success of the awards program and helps to recognize and promote excellence in the field of business continuity and resilience.
As a judge for the BCI Awards, you will have the opportunity to showcase your experience and knowledge, while also inspiring others to join the field. Your role as a judge will be recognized on the BCI website, and you will have access to annual virtual training and networking opportunities. Additionally, time spent as a judge can count towards your self-reflection entry for your Continued Professional Development (CPD) and Community Contribution for FBCI membership. To be eligible, judges must hold the BCI Certification of MBCI or higher and maintain BCI Membership. Apply now to be a part of the BCI Awards and to contribute to the development of the industry.
Schools Engagement with Inspiring the Future
Help the BCI promote a more resilient world, by introducing future generations to professional resilience. In the UK, we work with “Inspiring the Future” to do this.
Inspiring the Future work with thousands of professionals across different sectors who visit schools and colleges to talk about their careers and how they got where they are today.
Use your experience in business continuity and resilience to encourage future generations to work in the industry. Most volunteers do one visit a year.
