We are proud to announce that the fifth edition of the BCI Coronavirus Organizational Preparedness Report is now available to download! We would like to thank everyone who has continuously provided their input to help us to produce this report that illuminates the trends and challenges found in the ongoing pandemic response.

Much of the feedback from our respondents’ points to growing welfare and social concerns caused by the extended duration of the pandemic. Work from home is a fine strategy in the short-term, but when it extends into months the social connections that enable organizational cohesion begin to fade. Issues of isolation and inclusion have rarely been the concern of Business Continuity professionals, but under these pandemic circumstances they are now top of the agenda. Technology - such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams - has proved to be a great way to keep teams in contact, but  recreating the social interaction of a physical encounter or simply getting coffee in the canteen, is hard to recreate through a screen.  Happily, this report confirms that organizations are aware of the danger and are taking proactive steps to respond.
