Mr John Moore MBCI

John graduated with a BSc in disaster management in 2003 and since then has worked in various roles in business continuity, crisis management; disaster relief; ICT continuity; risk management and (more recently) operational resilience. John has dedicated his career to helping organisations, predominantly financial institutions and communities bolster their resilience to disruptive events/crises. Holding global and regional positions related to resilience, John has managed programmes and coached teams to embed practical and successful initiatives compliant with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Using theoretical knowledge acquired from his degree, John has been a rapid response team member for the disaster relief charity ShelterBox. John also volunteered with the Ugandan Red Cross Society, supporting a multi-agency response to provide emergency provisions, shelter, and reunification services to 150k refugees fleeing warfare in neighbouring DRC.
John has been a member of the BCI since 2007 and has seen the industry evolve a great deal since then. He has been actively involved in the industry in Hong Kong, previously serving as a member of the Hong Kong Financial Services Business Continuity Forum.
