Mr Gary Bullen MBCI

Retired Principal BCM Consultant, Granddad - Keeping my Grandchildren Happy!, United Kingdom, MBCI

Having retired in April 2020 and making the most of lockdown, by using it as a good opportunity to exercise my mind, so as to crystallise my knowledge and experience to produce a practical guide on BCM and establishing a BCMS, from my many years and extensive experience in IT, having delivered several major national and international programmes and projects to support and protect the delivery of key IT services & products  – the most notable of which were the T-Mobile International T-Spirit Programme, BCMS for the EE elements of the 2012 Olympics (event mobile sponsor & provider), and more recently an effective BCMS for the lot 3 mobile elements of the Emergency Services Network (ESN) – a key element of the Home Office Emergency Services Communications Programme (ESMCP). I have produced a simple BCM guide split into three parts:

BCM 101 -  Introduction  / Beginners

BCM 201 - Intermediate / Advanced

And under construction:

BCM 301 - Advanced / Specialist

I'm looking for friendly contacts in the BCI to help peer review the BCM 101 & 201 parts of the guide already constructed and to hopefully point me in the best direction for getting it published.

I've written the document to provide a pragmatic approach for establishing a BCMS that can be used as either a guide or training material, as it contains loads of diagrams that will hopefully help the reader to absorb the BCM concepts described in each section.

I hope the reader enjoys this brief overview to what I have found over the years to be a fascinating and ever-changing subject……which if practiced well, prepares you and your organisation to deal effectively and efficiently with what life may send our way.

If this is your first experience of BCM, then I hope you enjoy your peek, and hopefully the start of a long journey, into the fascinating world of Business Continuity Management (BCM).

For more information or access to the guide please get in touch -

All the best & stay safe!

Gary

P.s Please take a look at my profile picture - being in a hole with good BCM experience is not always a bad thing......especially when it's your Granddaughters who put you there!
