Edd is a Resilience, Business Continuity and Emergency Management Specialist. His background and professional experience includes 16 years in business continuity and business operations across multiple sectors including Telecoms, Insurance, Information Technology and Human Resources in the UK & Canada. Prior to joining the Corporate Business Continuity Team at TELUS in 2021, Edd built and delivered an award-winning Business Continuity Program for the British Columbia Automobile Association (BCAA) and successfully led their organisational response to the Covid-19 Pandemic.
In addition to his civilian career, he has 20+ years’ service with the British Army Reserve including 2 operational tours of Afghanistan and multiple deployments on international exercises. Most recently, he spent 4 years seconded to the Canadian Armed Forces, Military Police Branch as a Senior Instructor as part of an International Military Exchange Program.
Edd’s expertise and passion is focused on community resilience building, business continuity planning, emergency response, personal preparedness, physical security, operations/exercise planning and delivery of training. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, holds MBCI, CBCP credentials and a Certificate in Emergency Management from the Justice Institute of British Columbia.
