I am a Business Consultant trading as CRM Business Services. I am also employed by NHS Resolution as Business Continuity Manager.
I retired as the Emergency Planning Officer at South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue in November 2021. I have 10 years experience managing business continuity.
Throughout my career I have progressed from taking the BCI Certificate to my current FBCI membership, (awarded July 2020).
I have been a Certified Lead Auditor for ISO22301 and a BCI applications auditor. I am currently a BCI Mentor and the Chapter Lead for the North East England Chapter. I am also the BCI representative on the Technical committee (T292) for ISO22301.
I was awarded the BCI European Continuity and Resilience Professional (Public Service) 2016, 2017 and 2019; and the BCI Global Continuity and Resilience Professional (Public Service) 2017. I was entered into the BCI Hall of Fame in November 2019.
I presented at the BCI World Conference in 2014, 2015 and 2018 and jointly ran the careers room at BCI World in 2018 and 2019. I was a member of the BCI World, Programme Advisory Group in 2021. I was awarded the CIR Advisor of the Year award in 2021.
I hold a PG Cert in Leadership and Management from Sheffield University and I am a member of the Institute of Strategic Risk Management.
I previously served as a police officer for 30 years and was involved in a number of high profile events including the management of logistics in the deployment of police officers to Tsunami affected Thailand and Sri Lanka in 2005.
Throughout many years I have been trained as a tutor, trainer, mentor, coach and facilitator. I am a trained specialist in mentoring women. I also hold an adult teaching certificate. I am trained and practice structured debrief techniques. I look forwards to passing on some of my experience to those who are new to Business Continuity, or just need that bit of extra help to progess their careers.
