Mr Vinod Nair MBCI

Vice President - Group Resilience, Barclays, India, MBCI

Vinod is the Vice President in Group Resilience Shared Services at Barclays. He is the Service Delivery Leader for Resilience Operations catering to Barclays internal customers across APAC, Europe and America. Vinod is a Resilience and Risk professional with over 10 years of experience in the Resilience domain. Prior to Barclays, he was the Senior Manager with Protiviti. In that role he was responsible for implementation of Business Continuity and IT Service Continuity Programmes for some of the key clients across telecom and Oil & Gas sectors. Vinod has expertise on developing the Business Continuity Management (BCM) framework and implementing BCM projects where alignment of the BCM programme was done as per the country specific regulatory requirements and as per the ISO 22301 Business Continuity Management System. He has conducted audits in-line with ISO 22301 requirements to assess and identify the gaps in the resilience programme. Vinod is an Associate Fellow of the Business Continuity Institute (AFBCI), an Approved BCI Instructor and an Authorized trainer for ISO 22301 Lead Implementer (LI) from Professional Evaluation Certification Board (PECB). He has conducted numerous trainings as per Good Practice Guidelines 2013 (GPG 2013) and ISO 22301 LI. Vinod spoke on the topic of Future of BCM and Importance of Organizational Resilience at KINETIC 2016. He was a member of the panellists for the discussion on Disaster Recovery at the BCI conference held in Mumbai in 2014. He also delivered 1-day Resiliency workshops for the Senior Management team of the Reserve Bank of India and SIDBI. Vinod was shortlisted for the “Continuity and Resilience Consultant of the year” in 2016 and 2017. In his free time, he enjoys spending his time with his twins, doing his bit for the school he studied in and watching movies.
