I am a senior business continuity consultant with over 20 years of experience. I completed more than 300 projects for over 140 different organizations in various industries, both nationally and internationally and of all sizes. My client portfolio includes organizations in for example the finance, food & beverage, utility, chemical, logistics, healthcare and production industry and all kind of government institutions.
I usually carry out full BCM implementation projects which will run through the entire BCM process from beginning to end. It also happens that my clients need support in only one specific part of the BCM process for example a risk assessment, business impact analysis (BIA), delivery of a business continuity plan (BCP) or crisis simulation exercise.
What others particularly appreciate about me is my ability to make complicated BCM topics understandable for everyone. I am skilled in translating my extensive BCM expertise and experience to pragmatic solutions for complex business continuity issues. In addition to my consulting work, I frequently give trainings and guest lectures in BCM. For that purpose I am registered as a certified teacher in the Dutch Teachers Register of CRKBO (Centraal Register Kort Beroepsonderwijs). Furthermore I was a member of the ISO committee that delivered globally recognized ISO22301 BCM standard.
I have a bachelor’s and master’s degree in business administration and economics and have a Register EDP auditor (RE) and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) accreditation. Furthermore I am a statutory registered member (MBCI) of the Business Continuity Institute (BCI), the world’s leading membership and certifying organization for business continuity professionals. In 2019, this institute shortlisted me for the European award “Best Continuity & Resilience Consultant of Europe 2019”. Besides my BCM specialization, I also have thorough knowledge of IT auditing and information security.
