Dr. Tsang is an accomplished executive with over 20 years of expertise in digital strategic planning and transformation, information security and risk management, service management, and business continuity and crisis management.
He began his career as a pioneering intelligence officer at Taiwan's National Security Bureau (NSB) from 1997 to 2005 (Retired Captain). During this time, he played a pivotal role as the first dedicated member of the newly established information security team — the first of its kind among Taiwan government agencies. Following his tenure at NSB, Dr. Tsang provided advisory and training services worldwide as a freelance consultant from 2005 to 2009. He then held the positions of CTO and CIO at a top e-commerce company in Taiwan from 2009 to 2012. In 2012, he joined a global information security company as the head of the cloud data center service department, making significant contributions until 2015. From 2015 to 2018, Dr. Tsang served as the CIO for Taiwan's leading online job-bank company.
Dr. Tsang is widely recognized as a thought leader in the industry and has received several prestigious awards. He was the sole recipient in the Asia-Pacific region of the (ISC)2 Information Security Research Scholarship for three consecutive years (2006-2008) and was honored with the (ISC)2 Asia-Pacific Information Security Leadership Achievement Award in 2010. His outstanding achievements have earned him a place in various Who's Who publications since 2008.
With a Ph.D. in Information Management from National Taiwan University, an M.S. in Computer Science and Information Engineering from NTU, and a B.S. in Computer Science from National Tsing Hua University, Dr. Tsang possesses a strong academic background. He also holds several industry certifications, including CISSP-ISSAP and MBCI.
Currently, Dr. Tsang provides advisory and training services as a freelance consultant, leveraging his expertise to assist both private enterprises and government agencies in achieving their strategic objectives.
